Biology of cells: Structure of cell, cell
division and differentiation, DNA and R.N. A chain, mitosis and meiosis,
lipids, proteins and genes, molecular errors.
|
Molecular transport in living systems: diffusion,
random motion, diffusion equation, osmosis, osmotic pressure in liquid
and gas, diffusion across membrane, membrane potential.
|
Radiation biophysics: review of radioactivity, stochastic
and non-stochastic effects of radiations, effect of radiations on
cells and DNA, introduction of cancer by radiations, radiotherapy,
absorbed dose and dose equivalent, dose calculation.
|
Biophysical techniques: X-rays diffraction, electron
microscopy, biophysical instruments, spectroscopy in biophysics, imaging
instruments.

Biophysical processes: Biomechanics, Bioenergetics,
Biomagnetism.
